Warehouse assistant

South-West Belfast foodbank provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis in from the Colin neighbourhood and Dunmurry village to Andersonstown. Without our volunteers, selflessly donating their time, we simply would not be able to support those who are in food poverty crisis.

The number of people needing food banks has increased in recent years and we anticipate this trend to continue especially in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a warehouse assistant you will play a vital role to our food bank ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community.

This volunteer role is in the foodbank warehouse, with activities including receiving, sorting, and storing food which is donated by the public, pre-packing bags for delivery, assigning packed bags to clients for delivery, handing over bags to delivery drivers. Volunteer sessions are for two hour time slots.
