Why we want you East Lothian Foodbank provides emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis. Without our volunteers selflessly donating their time, we simply would not be able to provide the support we do.

As our website coordinator you will play a vital role ensuring that we are meeting the demand for our services, providing help and support to people in crisis in the local community.

You’ll expand the food banks reach through our website, combining your IT skills with a passion to eradicate poverty. You’ll influence and inform others by generating relevant and engaging content to encourage donations and help to inform others.

We are looking for between 2 and 4 hours a week, at a location that works for you, however, you will be required to spend some time in the food bank to understand how the food bank operates and to engage with other volunteers and our staff. When volunteering from home, you will need to use your own laptop.

**Support and personal development  ** This role requires a minimum commitment of 6 months and a willingness to attend relevant website and messaging training as part of your induction and ongoing support and development. Training for this role will vary depending on your experience.

You will also have a main contact at the food bank. We are happy to arrange a taster session for you to meet other volunteers and to find out more about the role and the food bank.

**Why volunteer with us ** Volunteering is a fantastic way for you to be involved in your local community and our volunteers are at the heart of all that we do as a food bank. The role of volunteers dedicating their time and skills is critical to our day-to day work.

Whatever your background we want to make sure you are supported, empowered and enjoy your time volunteering with us. We know that having volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds, and with varying experiences, can help to make what we do as effective as possible.

Time commitment: 2 to 4 hours weekly

When: Hours are flexible over the week but at times you will need to be available during foodbank opening hours (Mon - Fri, 10am - 2pm) for training and meetings.
